Charlotte Rose

Charlotte is a former newspaper editor turned communications professional, with nearly a decade of experience in media and communications for NGOs and the UN. She has extensive experience as a media manager in the humanitarian and development sector and has covered some of the world’s most pressing issues, including women’s and girls’ rights, conflict, climate change and refugees and displacement.

Before joining di:ga, Charlotte worked in Afghanistan, where she led communications for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Before serving in the UN, she was the Regional Media Manager for Save the Children in Asia, where she deployed to humanitarian emergencies across the region and acted as a regional television spokesperson. Following the Taliban takeover in 2021, she led global media efforts for Save the Children’s humanitarian response in Afghanistan, which became one of the organisation’s most successful media campaigns that year.

Charlotte holds a Masters in Global Governance and Public Policy from Birkbeck, University of London, and a first-class degree in Development Studies from the University of Sussex. In her spare time, she volunteers as an English teacher for refugees in the UK.
