Campaigning for corporate accountability

In 2023, di:ga worked with Justice is Everybody's Business to support campaigning around the corporate sustainability due diligence directive which was making its way through the European Parliament. We supported the coalition and its members (including Friends of the Earth Europe, the European Coalition for Corporate Justice and the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights) to develop their communications strategy and messaging to generate engagement and pressure online in Brussels and across key Member States.

We advised on and supported the production of content and tactics to drive attention, including joint letters, media briefings on the status of the negotiations, reactions to developments, case studies, and photo stunts. We also provided media training and strategic communications advice to national partners. In May 2024 the law was approved in the European Parliament; campaigners hailed it as a step forward but not enough to put human lives before corporate profits.
