Ending hunger sustainably

Ceres2030

Communications support to joint research project.

In 2020, di:ga supported the communications around Ceres2030, a joint research project between Cornell University, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), which estimated the cost of ending hunger sustainably by 2030 and provided recommendations for donors on how best to target spending.

di:ga worked with the Ceres2030 team for over 9 months, advising them on how to launch the research and manage relationships with external stakeholders, writing and editing summary documents and press materials, producing a video, developing a social media campaign, and pitching the research to the media.

The project received widespread international media coverage, including in the Guardian, Le Monde, Reuters, Deutsche Welle and the Telegraph and generated significant discussion among target audiences. The research was endorsed by Bill Gates, the UN and German Government. The launch video received over 25,000 views in the month post-launch, and Ceres2030 tweets made over half a million impressions in launch week alone.

di:ga takes comms agencies to a whole new level. Their support throughout the process was unbelievable. The team was dedicated, cared deeply about the issue and never stopped digging-in. The results were far beyond anything we ever expected and are already having an impact.
