Launching the Global Gender Index

Equal Measures 2030

Equal Measures 2030’s (EM2030) SDG Gender Index is the most comprehensive tool for tracking global progress towards gender equality by 2030, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 2024 Index highlighted the compounding effects of multiple intersecting crises—from political polarisation and economic instability to climate change—worsening gender inequalities.

di:ga worked with EM2030 to design and execute a strategic communications plan that would effectively raise awareness of the Index’s findings among gender equality advocates and organisations. We worked closely with EM2030 to refine their key audiences and develop a clear, compelling narrative that could break through the noise.

We secured an exclusive with The Guardian to lead the global media coverage, resulting in a front-page story and lead feature in their global newsletter. We also launched a targeted organic and paid social media campaign to amplify the findings. On LinkedIn, the campaign went viral, with a 200% increase in reactions, a 360% rise in comments, and reposts surging by 2,350%.
