Driving action on air pollution

Clean Air Fund

Making clean air a political priority

We have been working with the Clean Air Fund since 2020. We helped the recently-founded organisation establish and define their communications function in-house, while providing outsourced support across media and digital communications, acting as their de facto press office function. We worked with them to write their first communications strategy and then helped implement it.

In 2021, we supported CAF to design and launch a new website, which led to a five-fold increase in visitors and quadrupled overall traffic to the site. We also continue to deliver their media and digital communications at key moments through the year, including the launch of their annual State of Global Air Quality Report, which consistently secures widespread global coverage, including in The Guardian, France 24 and Deutsche Welle.

In 2022, we helped CAF conceive of and produce a flagship report around the impacts of air pollution in African mega-cities, and the case for investment to tackle it, which we launched at COP28 in Egypt. We created a digital-first report on their website, using data visualisations to tell the whole story. The report was covered widely, including in the Telegraph, BBC World Service and Le Monde.

We have also made various digital media products for them, including films, and infographics, which have helped drive awareness and engagement.

di:ga are brilliant partners for our work, always supporting us to be strategic and focus on impact, as well as rolling up their sleeves and delivering across media and digital. They’ve helped us define, grow and influence our key audiences and make air quality a much higher priority for governments and other funders.
