Media coverage for the Global Report on Internal Displacement

For the past two years, di:ga has worked with the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) to publicize its annual Global Report on Internal Displacement. This is the most authoritative report of its kind, shedding light on the escalating crisis of internally displaced people worldwide.

For both launches, we worked with IDMC’s team of researchers to define the key messages and prepare press materials for the launch and then reached out to media from across the world. We secured interviews for executive leadership with top-tier international broadcasters and in our first year achieved a 50% increase overall in media coverage, which we then matched in 2024. Articles have appeared in the Associated Press, The Guardian, Al Jazeera and The Washington Post among others.
