Putting climate corruption on the agenda

Transparency International

In 2024, di:ga partnered with Transparency International (TI) to develop and deliver the communications and media strategy for their Climate Governance and Integrity Programme — an ambitious effort to put corruption at the centre of the global climate debate.

Working closely with the TI team, we developed a narrative framework and messaging guide that could work across very different audiences — from global policymakers and climate finance institutions to journalists and civil society organisations. We mapped the international calendar to identify the moments that mattered, and built a media strategy around them — including COP29, the G20, and the annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) launch.

Throughout the project we secured impactful coverage in mainstream outlets like the Guardian and France 24, and key trades such as Carbon Pulse and Climate Home News. For the 2025 CPI launch, we secured international coverage across outlets including the Financial Times, Al Jazeera, the Straits Times and Valor Econômico, reaching audiences across multiple regions and bringing the climate-corruption nexus into mainstream policy and financial media.
