di:ga has worked with CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) since 2015. In 2021 we had the privilege of helping them write and launch their 5-year organisational strategy, which saw the organisation broaden its focus beyond carbon, forests and water to encompass all of earth's systems and planetary boundaries.
We were involved from the outset in the Science Based Targets initiative, a groundbreaking effort to encourage companies to set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets informed by science, which is now at the forefront of corporate efforts to transition to carbon neutral economies.
We also supported a project looking at how cities can work with businesses to contribute to lowering emissions and building a low carbon future. This included promoting a pilot with the City of London, and developing a playbook to help other cities and businesses follow suit.
Over consecutive years, we have launched a series of reports with the World Benchmarking Alliance assessing climate disclosures from key industries like automobiles, energy utilities, and oil and gas. We also helped develop a communications strategy for CDP's work on the financial services sector.
